The advent of the Digital Centers has not only created a sustainable model for access to markets for the rural marginalized population, it has also improved equity in delivering public services. Doubling as banking agents, it has also enabled access to affordable finance, which is one of the critical constraints to the growth of CMSMEs in Bangladesh. Furthermore, Digital Centre entrepreneurs also assist in opening virtual shops through ekShop platform, connecting and negotiating cheaper prices with logistics partners, as well as receiving and making payments digitally. All these have given rise to a wider access to payments among the otherwise left behind rural population.
EkShop introduced ESCROW payment system in Bangladesh.
